1. Agreement to these terms
Untime is a time-budgeting app operated by Duobase Pte. Ltd. (“Duobase”, “we”, “us”). These terms govern your use of the Untime mobile app and any related services, including this website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The service
Untime lets you create goals, give each one a weekly time budget, log timed sessions against them, and view statistics about where your time goes. The Service is a personal organization tool. It is not professional, medical, or financial advice.
3. Accounts
You can sign in with Apple, sign in with Google, or continue without an account (anonymously). Authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication. An anonymous account can later be linked to an Apple or Google identity; until it is linked, losing access to your device may mean losing access to your data.
You are responsible for safeguarding the sign-in method associated with your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your country) to use the Service.
4. Subscriptions and payment
Parts of the Service are available through an optional premium subscription. Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by the relevant store under its own terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your store account settings. We never see or store your payment details.
5. Your content
The goals, sessions, and settings you create belong to you. You grant us a limited license to host, store, and process this data solely to provide the Service to you, such as syncing it between your devices and computing your statistics. We do not use your content for advertising and we do not sell it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to access it by any means other than the app and interfaces we provide;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or circumvent any authentication or security measure;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
You also represent that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of, any country or territory subject to applicable government sanctions or embargo, and that you are not listed on any applicable government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
7. Intellectual property
Everything in the Service other than your own data, including the Untime name, logo, app, and design, is owned by Duobase and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding.
8. Termination and deletion
You can stop using the Service at any time. The app includes tools to erase all of your data (deleting every goal and session) and to delete your account entirely, including your Firebase user. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including sections 5, 7, 9, and 10, survive it.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data loss will never occur, so please keep independent records of anything critical.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Duobase will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on this website, with its last-updated date shown at the top. Continuing to use the Service after an updated version takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any dispute arising out of them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
13. Apple App Store
If you downloaded Untime from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms also apply to your use of the app on Apple devices. To the extent these terms conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, those terms govern, but only for apps obtained from the App Store.
Apple is not a party. These terms are an agreement between you and Duobase only, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and Duobase, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and the Service.
Scope of license. Your license to use the app is a limited, non-transferable license to use it on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the app may also be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
Maintenance and support. Duobase is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for the app. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the app.
Warranty. Duobase is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, that are not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to any warranty are Duobase’s responsibility.
Product claims. Duobase, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar laws.
Intellectual property. If a third party claims that the app or your possession and use of it infringes that party’s intellectual property rights, Duobase, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Developer contact. Any questions, complaints, or claims regarding the app may be directed to Duobase using the name and address in the Contact section below.
Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app, such as your wireless data service agreement.
Apple as third-party beneficiary. You and Duobase acknowledge that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms as they relate to your license of the app, and that upon your acceptance of these terms Apple will have the right, and will be deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
US Government end users. The app and its documentation are “Commercial Items” as defined in 48 C.F.R. 2.101, licensed to U.S. Government end users only as Commercial Items and with only the rights granted to all other end users under these terms.
